ICON fosters understanding and discussion of Issues Confronting Our Nation, including fiscal responsibility, education, healthcare, energy independence, national defense, foreign policy, and restoring individual freedom and personal responsibility.

The ICON Lecture Series

ICON Lecture Series is a nonprofit, tax-exempt education organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. We are a Durham-Chapel Hill grassroots organization that recognized a true need in our community for an informative lecture series.

We present several events each year. All ICON Lecture Series events are Tuesday evenings at 7:00.

All events are held at the Event Center, 200 W. Elliott Street, Chapel Hill NC near Whole Foods.

How do I get tickets for ICON Lecture Series events?

Tickets to all events may be purchased here on this web site. Tickets may also be purchased at the door of events. Be aware, some events may sell out and seating may be limited.

Can tickets be exchanged or refunded?

Because of the nature of the events, all sales are final; there are no exchanges or refunds.

Yes, The Event Center is a one level venue with easy wheelchair access and seating.

Where can I park?

The Event Center has its own parking lot with ample spaces in a safe area.

What time does the venue open?

The Event Center opens at 6:30 and the lectures begin promptly at 7:00. They generally last 1 ½ hours with Q&A.

What is the inclement weather policy?

Should bad weather ever require us to reschedule or cancel an event, we will get the word out via the website, emails to our contact list or on our Facebook page.
