American Lens

We pledge to take a no-holds bared approach to investigating the details that many news media outlets leave out of their reporting. While we strive to maintain objectivity, we also know that some details emerge over time. As new information becomes available we will update our stories to ensure you have access to the facts. We promise to do our best to deliver the truth about the issues that matter to you. We will follow leads, report on the facts, and when possible, we provide sources for you to use in determining for yourself about the outcome of the reporting. We are not advocates of any political party or political organizations. We go where the story takes us.

Civitas Institute

The vision of the Civitas Institute is of a North Carolina whose citizens enjoy liberty and prosperity derived from limited government, personal responsibility and civic engagement. The mission of the Civitas Institute is to facilitate the implementation of conservative policy solutions to improve the lives of all North Carolinians. Towards that end, Civitas provides research, information and training to:

  • empower citizens to become better civic leaders and more informed voters;
  • educate emerging public leaders, enabling them to be more effective in the democratic process; and
  • inform elected officials about citizen-based, free-market solutions to problems facing North Carolinians.

John Guandolo's Understanding the Threat

Understanding the Threat provides threat-focused strategic and operational consultation, training, and education for federal, state, and local leadership and agencies in government, the private sector, and for private citizens. UTT is the only organization in America which is training leaders, elected officials, law enforcement, military personnel, and citizens, about the Global Islamic Movement and the jihadi networks in communities around the nation.  UTT is also the only organization showing security professionals and state leaders how to locate and map out jihadi organizations, locate jihadis, and dismantle the network at the local and state level. While UTT briefs and teaches about many of the threats external and internal to the United States, its primary concern is the threats to the Republic and the West in general from the Global Islamic Movement.
